Full description

Experience a day of volunteering at the Dujiangyan Panda Base. Work as a keeper to make food for the pandas, observe their living habits, and physical features. Enjoy a private transfer from Chengdu and a guided tour. Be picked up from your hotel in Chengdu and travel to the Dujiangyan Panda Base. After arrival, sign up and put on work clothes and gloves. The experienced keepers will tell you what to do, and your tour guide will be always by your side. Watch the keeper feeding a panda at a very close distance。Learn and experience preparing bamboo for pandas. Roam around the base and take a visit to have a look at more giant pandas and red pandas. Have a lunch break and watch a panda documentary movie. Make panda cakes and receive a certificate for the unforgettable day.

  • Volunteers must be between 8 and 70 years old. On the day of the event, please do not wear perfume, slippers, or skirts.
  • Note:For situations where placing an urgent order for tomorrow , please make your reservation before 6 PM, since we must apply for and confirm the volunteer activity with the panda base during their working hours ，Beyond this time ,there's no guarantee of securing a spot.We appreciate your understanding.
  • This is a private group, but there are other volunteers participating in volunteer activities at the Panda Base.

This experience was great and memorable. It was not only an entertainment, but contained educational purpose. The guide Tom was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He showed his care and professionalism from the very first moment we interacted. He is a good driver, competent guide, and a nice man. And was offering his help in every possible way.
