Denver: Spirits & Spirits Haunted Pub Crawl

Denver: Spirits & Spirits Haunted Pub Crawl

Step into the shadows of Denver’s haunted “Millionaire’s Row,” where spirits peak through the curtains of 19th century mansions. You’ll meet your guide at Pub on Penn, 1278 Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO 80203, where you’ll down the first drink of the night and soak in the chilling history of the Molly Brown House Museum. From there, you’ll visit eight other bone-chilling, ghost-infested sites, including three other pubs. Stand at the steps of the towering Croke-Patterson-Campbell Mansion, where children become mysteriously possessed. Find out what’s lurking beneath the soil at Cheesman Park. Try to contact the angry spirits of Dennis Sheedy’s former estate. There will be plenty of liquid courage available throughout the tour. Try a City Toddy at City O’ City or a Peanut Butter Graham Cracker Porter at Bar Nun. Designated drivers can enjoy kombucha, coffee, tea, or mocktails. By the time you reach the final stop, you’ll have a pleasant buzz and a night’s worth of ghostly tales to share with family and friends back home.

Just a few blocks away, we’ll visit the Dairy Block and Alley, a lively area with restaurants, bars, retailers, and a modern co-working space, where you can shop or grab a snack. Next, we’ll explore Union Station, beautifully restored and revitalized in 2014 as a shopping, dining, and cultural hub. You can take a quick tour of its impressive interior. We’ll then cross Millennium Bridge to the area where the Platte and Cherry Creek rivers converge. Here, you’ll find the largest REI store, located in a historic 1901 Denver Tramway building. This area is close to Denver’s founding site and was once home to many Native Americans. We’ll bike along the Cherry Creek path for about 15 minutes before reaching Larimer Square, Denver’s first block and commercial district. This historic area features restaurants, shops, and a vintage store worth visiting. If it’s a weekday, we can tour the Capitol’s interior, including its rare Rose Onyx, stained glass, and legislative chambers. From there, we’ll bike through Cheesman Park, formerly Prospect Hill Cemetery. In the late 1800s, the city expanded outward and they tried to remove the remains, but many were left behind due to fraudulent practices by the contractor. Our final stretch will take us through the quiet streets near City Park and Whittier before returning to Five Points, once known as the Harlem of the West. We know the best and safest ways to explore Denver, making this an excellent short tour to see the city’s highlights. If have 5 ebikes and 9 regular bikes. Hi, I'm Mitch! Founded in 2016, I am literally Denver’s first e-bike tour. This is my true passion and livelihood. I have spent decades cultivating strong and lasting relationships with local business owners, artists, musicians, brewers, baristas, and restaurateurs across this amazing city. I grew up here and have a love/knowledge for Denver only a true local can have. Whether from Denver or here on a layover, I guarantee a true once in a lifetime experience. This tour uses ELECTRIC bicycles with pedal assist and full throttle features which make going up hills and cruising the city a breeze. Because we travel by e-bike, we are able to cover a lot of ground with little effort! We will meet in the beloved and hip RiNo Art District in the heart of downtown Denver. From there we'll do a loop around the city, exploring must-see places including the beloved RiNo Art District, Coors Field, Denver’s Union Station, Larimer Square, Colorado Convention Center and Big Blue Bear, Colorado State Capitol, Molly Brown House Museum, Cheesman Park, Five Points City Center and the Denver Walls Mural Art District.. I include historic neighborhoods, landmarks, parks, art and theater districts, world famous graffiti alleyways, haunted houses, suffragette monuments, microbreweries and craft coffee shops, all while feeding you fun facts and historical tidbits about Denver's dark beginnings, heroines, body snatchers, underground passages and significant street names and the criminals they were named after. I have talked to so many local businesses they know me by name. I drank too many coffees, beers and kombuchas, stayed out far too late on weeknights, and ate out way more than my doctors recommended. I explored in exhaustion both the day and nightlife scenes. You can rest assured, when I provide a recommendation, it is the real deal!

Maxfield did an interview incredible job as our guide. Kept the group on schedule, has a great sense of humor, balanced the tour as a history lesson of the homes, the people, the events, and the hauntings. 10/10, will be recommending this tour with her as guide to others.
