Up next, take a scenic drive through the Barossa Valley, where you’ll stop at Maggie Beer's Farm Shop and then in Tanunda at Chateau Tanunda and head towards Lyndoch at the Kies Family Wines. Famed for its prolific production, enjoy a wine tasting alongside lunch at this family-run vineyard. With your last stop at Hahndorf, the German Village. Return to your accommodation in Adelaide just in time to reflect on the sights and tastes of the day over dinner.

Get picked up from your Glenelg or Adelaide hotel and begin following the River Torrens through the spectacular Torrens Gorge. Learn about local wineries and sample their wines along the way. Enjoy your choice of six delicious lunch options. Your first stop, Kersbrook Hill Wines & Cider. Then moving ahead to Maggie Beer's Farm where you can wander around and takes the opportunity to explore the farm. Travel onwards over Barossa Reservoir to Williamstown in Southern Barossa and stop at Chateau Dorrien Wines for more tastings and Lunch at Monkey Nut Cafe adding on to tasting at Kies Family Wines. In the afternoon, travel to The Barossa Chocolate Factory, if time permits/ on special request and last tasting at Chateau Tanunda before returning to Adelaide at approximately 5:15 PM.

Travel through the city of Adelaide northwards to the world renowned Barossa wine region. Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine region. Your first stop is Pindarie, a multi-tourism award winning cellar door, which feels more like an Australian Homestead than a cellar door. The friendly staff share their stories behind the wines as you sample their famous blends in the heritage stables. Sit back and admire their stunning vineyard views while you enjoy some morning tea. Next, you will head into the main street of Tanunda, where you will have some free time to explore the charming boutiques, galleries and local shops. Enjoy a photo stop at Mengler Hill Lookout, with fabulous sweeping views across the valley before you arrive at Lambert Estate where you will enjoy a structured wine tasting and enjoy a delicious two-course lunch, accompanied with their popular Chocolatier (Chocolate Port). Leaving Lambert Estate, continue onto Chateau Tanunda, which celebrates over 130 years of winemaking history and is viewed by many as the birthplace of the Barossa wine industry. Home to some of the oldest Shiraz wines in the world, you will enjoy a brief guided walk around this magnificent property with some free time to explore the gardens and stunning Chateau while enjoying a taste of their wine. Then it's on to Maggie Beer's Farm Shop, where you will have time to browse the collection of souvenirs to take home, or perhaps enjoy an afternoon treat with a tea or coffee (own cost).

Please note your first cellar door will be at 10am. Pick up times will be confirmed the night before with our driver as per your pick up location. Greeted by a friendly crew, you will be guided through the safety briefing and then out to the helicopter. Where the crew will take a photo (using your camera or phone) of you standing next to the helicopter. Lifting off from the Hoffnungsthal Valley we cruise past the township of Lyndoch veering right, to fly along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley. Here you will see the vast plains that make up the mid-north area whilst viewing contouring vineyards, rolling hills, and the palm tree-studded roads that lead to Historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Continuing towards Nuriootpa, your pilot will point out Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery, before flying down the valley floor over Tanunda where you can see the stunning old buildings of Chateau Tanunda and many old churches. Flying further south you will enjoy a view over Jacob’s Winery, home of some of the largest wine tanks in Australia each tank holding up to 1.4 million liters of wine. From there your flight takes you to the southern end of the Barossa, past the town of Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall returning finally to our base in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.

Lifting off from the heli-pad in the Hoffnungsthal Valley, enjoy flying past the township of Lyndoch before tracking along the western ridge of the Barossa Valley to Historic Seppeltsfield. Here you will see vineyards contouring the rolling hills, palm tree studded roads and the Seppelt Family mausoleum. From there you will fly over Maggie Beer’s farm and the famous Penfold’s Winery before veering along the eastern side of Nuriootpa, around the Wolf Blass winery, and then marvelling at the view over the large limestone quarry near the town of Angaston. A little further on you will get a bird’s eye view of one of the most beautiful horse racing studs in south Australia – McEvoy-Mitchell Racing. From Angaston the view is an awesome 180-degree view of the Barossa valley and beyond, you can literally see for miles! As you descend into the valley towards Tanunda, your pilot will point out some of the historic buildings and settlements like Chateau Tanunda and Bethany. Beyond Tanunda is Rowland flat – home of the famous Jacobs Creek where you will view some of Australia’s largest wine tanks, some of which are up to 1.4 million litres each. From there we take you to the southern end of the Barossa, past Lyndoch, over the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall (the Barossa reservoir) before finally returning to the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
