This was the most interesting tour Ive ever been on. I liked the fact that there were no children or babies to distract us from what the guide was telling us. I learned a lot. We were tired, but the walk wasn’t bad at all. Nothing up hill or too far. My only complaints were that other travelers in the group kept smoking cigarettes, which I do not like. They also kept taking their masks off while we were in close proximity. Our guide asked them to keep them on, but they didn’t listen which made me very uncomfortable. I tried to stay away from the smoke and unmasked people, but then I couldn’t hear the guide. I was not happy at all. But the guide herself “Joy” was great.
The bus tour was a general run down of historical neighborhoods and homes. This ticket covered the bus tour and a self guided tour of either the Manigault estate or the Charleston Museum (not both).
I loved everything about it. While we were waiting for our ride, the staff explained all about the horses, where they came from and how they are cared for, that was important to me.
We absolutely loved the carriage ride! Ron did such a awesome job taking us back in history! We will be visiting g this time next year and will do this excursion again!
Guide was fun, knowledgable, and informative. This tour provided a different side of history yet still providing insight into Charlestons history
