What people are saying about Charleston
We chose to do the USS Yorktown Ghost Tour on Sunday the 11th. It was by far the highlight of the weekend! Tad Legare was extremely knowledgeable of the ship and a very entertaining tour guide. I was worried this would be a cheesy ghost tour with a bunch of fake noises and bad stories but it wasn't at all. More about the history of those lost on the ship and what people have experienced ever since then. The USS Yorktown is beautiful at night and much less crowded. Only complaint is that it ended too soon! We could have easily spent another hour and a half with Tad giving us a tour of the rest of the ship. This should be a must do on your Charleston trip for sure!
Our day was rainy but we enjoyed the boat ride to Ft. Sumter. So much history. Great customer service especially at the snack bar! The server made a lot of coffee on the way back for us since it was we were very wet and cold. On our way back we saw a pair of dolphins swimming by the side of the boat. I recommend you check the weather before going and dress appropriately. And take binoculars! We enjoyed our day even if it was a wet one!
We had a great time on our ghost tour. I’ve taken both the walking tour and the ghost tour. Geordie was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable of the Charleston area and was pleasant to have as a guide. I highly recommend you take either of his tours. You will not be disappointed.
First and foremost our tour guide was amazing! Bonnie was so knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and the buildings that we got to see on the tour. The buss was Air Conditioned and set up for social distancing. I highly recommend this tour!
We had a great time .. I have been to Savannah Georgia and New Orleans and Charleston has been by far the spookiest place I have been to.. Randy gave us a great experience and made it fun with his great antidotes of being a true Charlestonian .
