Interesting tour with lots of history included. Enjoyed the views and information. It was hard to find the location for boarding as the signs were not very clear. Should have signs by the road, not on the sidewalk behind the Aquarium and Museums. You don’t know where to go after you park. There are two signs that say Charleston Harbor tours but only one is where you board.

The boat ride itself was nice. Crew very friendly. I was disappointed in the narration of the tour. The narrator talked about different sights and people of American and Civil War. Mentioned a Seminole Chief buried at Fort Moultrie. Even talked about Charleston history with Pirates. But nothing about slaves that helped develop Charleston. Rice, indigo and cotton was mentioned but not that slaves cultivated the land. Perfect opportunity to mention slavery would have been at the start of the tour. International African Museum was but on Gadsden wharf. Gadsden was mentioned but the fact the spaces just coming off the ships were auctioned off at the spot. That’s why the museum was put there. If that part was mentioned I would have been more happier with the tour. Everyone else was mentioned but Africans. Please include them in your next tour. They were a vital part of history should not be overlooked.

This tour was awesome! The marina was very easy to find and the boat had drinks available. My mom and I learned so much about Charleston history, much more than you could read from a book. I’ve recommended this tour to many of my friends that want to visit Charleston!
