From Prague: Český Krumlov and České Budějovice Day Trip

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The scenic countryside drive going there was awesome with the sun coming out by the time we arrived at Český Krumlov. České Budějovice was a short drive thru and show of a small not so visited area of the South Bohemia area which also features the original Budweiser plant/owner and not in the USA. Peter our driver/guide was very knowledgeable with some insights not normally shared during the main tour at Krumlov. We had opted out of the included lunch but Peter showed us on where to have an authentic Czech food and it was superb!

i was so sad. I went to the meeting point, the guy in charge suddenly said I was not on the list. I showed him my voucher app and he said: u only has 2 choices, you join and pay us [again] or you back home. i wanted to cry when he said tht. never in my life i was treated so harsh like tht. he then left and suddenly without saying sorry said: Ok, it is fine now. Rather than saying harsh thing to me, he can checked first whether my booking is already on list or not. I was mad. During the trip, we got a guide named Peter. Initially I thought he was nice. then I realized he only talk to one person. Our group consisted of me [asian], 2 indian, a mom [peruvian japanese] and her son [mix japanese and white]. I felt Peter only talk to the son, all others were invisible. I asked the indian, they said "yes, we know, it seems like racism, but we dont care". For me it was the worst experience ever. They are the worst human kind

The trip was very interesting and definitely worth seeing. We were blow away by the castle and it’s interior of baroque and rococo styles! The only thing, we’ve got unlucky with the driver/guide. He said he has a lot of respect for russia while it keeps on killing Ukrainians. A refugee who lost a close family member as a result of it was in a group. And just before that we had an ice breaker when a person spoken up about it. I feel like it’s disgraceful and I felt very sorry for a person. Additionally, they made rasial comment to the women of colour in our group, calling them “(nationality) female”. The girls were five min late to the pick up location. So the driver/guide scolded them for nearly ten minutes in front of the entire bus. This just threw me off to be honest. I’d go for another tour to the Chesky Krumlow but the guide could be more considerate of the group, I think.
