Private Tour to Český Krumlov - A Day Trip from Prague

Take a trip to a fairy tale town: Český Krumlov, outside of Prague, which has been part of UNESCO’s list of cultural and heritage sites since 1992. After being picked up at your accommodation in Prague, take a 2.5-hour drive through the beautiful Czech countryside, stopping in Ceske Budejovice to taste the original "Budweiser" beer.  The town of Český Krumlov is situated in Southern Bohemia in a romantic area of ponds with beautiful countryside along the river Vltava. There are 300 historical houses in the center and the second largest castle in the Czech Republic with magnificent baroque gardens. There you will see an unique theatre with a rotating auditorium. The castle used to be the home to famous aristocratic families - the Rosenbergs, Eggenbergs and Schwarzenbergs. The oldest baroque theatre in the world is part of the castle as well. The historical city center has preserved its medieval atmosphere and picturesque narrow streets. You will find lovely little shops with handmade souvenirs as well. Have lunch in a local tavern, take some time off to stroll around by yourself, and meet up again for the drive back to Prague.

Cesky Krumlov is a beautiful city and my wife and I enjoyed our visit. Our guide Prem had a pleasant personality and was very knowledgeable. He provided us with interesting information about Cesky Krumlov, the history of the Czech Republic, and other things we had seen during our earlier sightseeing in Prague.

Though Petr was officially our driver, he was also a brilliant guide. He was enormously knowledgeable on anything we asked him whether it was history, politics or the Czech way of life. On top of this he had a great sense of humour.

It was a long day, 9am to 7.30pm but worth the trip, nice it was a small group of only 6 plus Victor our driver and guide. We are got to know each other and had some laughs!

We would like to thank Marina and our driver for a wonderful day. Marina was very informative and kind We definitely recommend this tour,Cesky Krumlov is just beautiful

It was a great tour and our guide Victor was an absolute superstar.
