Eat your way through the "Eternal City" on a 4-hour walking tour of Rome, starting in the vibrant square of the Campo de’ Fiori. A fantastic experience! We were looked after superbly by Guiseppe, who was knowledgeable, friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The group was small enough to get to know our companions (who were lovely,a great international group). The places chosen reflected typical Lazio regional and wider Italian food well. However, the best part was the combination of fascinating historical information about the old city and Trastevere, our favourite part of Rome. A really enjoyable time and a great way to spend an evening getting to know Rome a little better! Grazie mille, Guiseppe!

  • Rome Pasta-Making Class: Cook & Dine with a Local Chef

    6. Rome Pasta-Making Class: Cook & Dine with a Local Chef

There’s nothing quite like a home-cooked Italian meal, especially when it has been prepared with the help of a professional chef and when you get to enjoy it on a beautiful private space in Rome. This is an experience that’s typically reserved for the real Romans, but now you can experience it too on this 3-hour activity. You’ll meet the chef in the charming Trastevere neighborhood, and you’ll be greeted with Prosecco and snacks, the perfect aperitivo to get the class started. The itinerary for the lunchtime class is slightly different. You will meet your chef at the meeting point and visit a traditional local market to shop for the ingredients for your meal. Soon it will be time to learn how to make pasta from scratch. If you want to make authentic Italian food at home, this is the number 1 skill to learn. The chef will guide you and the members of your small group through the hands...

My 16-year-old daughter attended the class. At the end she expressed some annoyance with the fact that she was the only teenager in the group. There are only two options to attend (under 14 or 15 and above). She did not really find her place among the group and felt quite left out during the talk around the table. Alcohol consumption is also not appropriate at this age. I suggest better matching of content and party or individuation of instruction when needed.

Adam (our driver) and Fabio (our guide) were a perfect pair. Fabio was very knowledgeable and quick to answer questions and recommend shopping and eateries, They both kept us on schedule and made sure that we saw all that we could see during our day. Fabio had great relationships in the areas that we visited and was able to provide great service. When asking about another excursion that we were planning ourselves, both Adam and Fabio were quick to offer options and solve our problems on how were were going to get to Pompeii and the Amalfi coast on our 2 day plan. They went out of there way to arrange for us to join their planned tour to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast along with dropping us at our hotel for our extended stay. In addition to that, Adam met us the next evening to bring us back to Rome. We were thrilled with all they planned for us for both Siena & San Giminiano along with our trip to Amalfi.

A fantastic experience! We were looked after superbly by Guiseppe, who was knowledgeable, friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The group was small enough to get to know our companions (who were lovely,a great international group). The places chosen reflected typical Lazio regional and wider Italian food well.
