Set sail by tall ship to idyllic Tivua Island from Nadi on a full-day introduction to cruising the islands of Fiji (90min cruise each way). Tivua is surrounded by 500 acres of spectacular coral reef, is a sanctuary for turtles during the nesting season, and boasts a ring of white sandy beaches. As you sail aboard our tall ship SV Spirit of the Pacific you can sunbathe on the bowsprit, watch for dolphins playing in the waves below, and enjoy the music and entertainment on board. This historic brigantine, named after a famous 19th-century Fijian war canoe, was built for the Governor General of Fiji in 1957. The schooner Whale's Tale is a 100ft long boat, equipped with sails and a turbo-charged main engine which reaches up to 10 knots at cruise speed under windless conditions. Begin the day with a continental breakfast of freshly baked scones, pastries, fresh local fruits, coffee, and tea. Enjoy complimentary beverages during the entire day (both on board the vessel and at Schooler Island. After eating, watch a Pacific cultural dancing show with fire and knife dancers. Marvel at the amazing acrobatic fire performance right beside the ocean. Finally, get back on the boat to sail back to the jetty.
