Experience the views from the Centennial Wheel at the Historic Navy Pier in Chicago with this attraction ticket. Be suspended over Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Chicago River. Marvel at the Chicago skyline and gaze out over the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan.

Choose between two options: With the Regular Barcoded ticket, skip the ticket line and enter the line to board the wheel. The Fastpass Express ticket allows you to skip both lines, and gives you VIP access. Both tickets allow you to visit within 7 days of your scheduled ticket date.

Enjoy the Centennial Wheel, which was built in 2016 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Navy Pier opening. Featuring 42 gondolas, each holding 8 people, it operates year-round. They also feature LED lighting, padded seats, TV screens, and speakers, as well as panoramic windows on all 4 sides.

A ride on the wheel gives you plenty of time to enjoy these panoramic views of Chicago as they unfold around you, and allows you to visit the top three times. Relax and take in the view, or get your camera out to snap pictures of the ever-changing Chicago landscape.

  • The Navy Pier Summer Fireworks are at Navy Pier every Wednesday and Saturday evening from Memorial Day through Labor Day; additional shows may also be added throughout the year
  • Please note: for the safety of guests and staff, the Centennial Wheel and other Pier Park attractions must occasionally close due to weather conditions, such as lightning, high winds, and extreme cold
  • Only service animals are permitted as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - any guide dog, signal dog or another animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability
  • 9% of the City of Chicago Amusement tax is included

Took our 5 year old grandchildren and they loved it. Went during Spring Break so paid the extra cost to skip the line. No actual line for this. Had to get an employees attention to get a person to help us. Finally able to jump the 2 hour wait and enjoyed our 3 spins of the Ferris wheel. Great views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. While on Navy Pier the Children’s museum is a must for kids.

The experience was amazing. I asked a young man with a T shirt on with the logo of the Ferris wheel where the line was for skip the line entry. He appeared to be on break as he was not inside the roped off area. Instead of pointing out directions he said follow me. He took us right to the point of entry and waited until my elderly husband and grandaughter were in a capsule and ready to go. That is true customer service with passion for you job. I wish I had gotten his name for recognition. His care set the tone for the afternoon visit!

Our guide was nice but we had a boat excursion to see the city and he got us there late which make us miss our dinner reservations the inconvenience of us being late and the restaurants in Chicago close early so by 11:00 and 12 the sitting is shutting down ..I’m still upset !!
