The Douro River is witness to the birth and evolution of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. We will start our visit on the banks of Vila Nova de Gaia, specifically in front of its municipal market, the Beira-Rio Market, a traditional space where the typical Portuguese gastronomy plays a very important role.
