Climbing the Duomo is a must. I did this with 21 year old daughter who is studying abroad and her apartment looks out on the Duomo and the Baptisma. So this was a highlight. The view is worth the effort. Stunning. Especially south. And YES it is not an easy stair climb. At least not when you are 6 ‘ 3” and 245 lbs. These are tight quarters up this climb. But find your own pace. Maybe let others go before you and you will have plenty of time at the top. The IG posers were annoying up at the cupola / top, but that is the norm nowadays. I would do it again tomorrow.
