The excursion was great. We were collected from our accommodation and climbed up to 2000 meters with the guide who taught us a lot about Etna. From there, we had the choice between staying at this level and visiting a crater with the guide, going up to 2700m with the cable car (30€ more) or going up to 2900m with the cable car + bus and trekking with a volcanologist guide (68€ in addition). We climbed to 2700m and we visited a crater ourselves under the advice of the guide. It was awesome! We then joined and visited a volcanic cave and then went to a small village to taste local products. We were then taken back to our hotel. Thanks again to Angelo for his sympathy and his explanations throughout this day!

This excursion was everything I expected and more! We were picked up from the place we were staying at by our guide Giuseppe. During the ride to Etna he explained us the history of Etna and nearby villages. Then we got to explore the cave and continued our ride up to Etna. We chose to go up to the crater for an additional cost and it was totally worth it. Once in a lifetime experience to walk around hot (warm) crater and soak in all the views. After that Giuseppe had prepared a visit to wine tasting (we also got to taste other delicious Sicilian foods and snacks) in Ragalna. I must say Giuseppe really was an excellent guide as well as helpful and fun too he kept up positive emotions throughout the whole day and we are thankful for that and can recommend him to everyone who considers going to Etna

We had such a nice experience on this day trip! Our guide for today was Federico. He was very kind and explained everything very well. The view we had from our walk on Etna was very beautiful. If you paid more, you could go higher but we didn’t think it was necessary because the view we had from the craters we stood on was already very pretty. The tasting of local products was also a nice experience. Lovely food and nice wines. We had a very nice day :)
