From Dublin: Game of Thrones Winterfell Locations Tour

Visit some of Northern Ireland's most iconic Game of Thrones® filming locations on this guided tour from Dublin. Dress up and captures some fantastic pictures of you reliving iconic moments from the show. Head the meeting point and hop aboard a climate-controlled bus. Make a quick coffee and comfort stop from 8:45-9:00. Pass the time in the coach with onboard entertainment, including a behind-the-scenes DVD clips and a 'Brain of Thrones' quiz to see who will be crowned King or Queen in the North. Arrive at Tollymore Forest Park at 10:15 and take a 3-kilometer trek to several iconic season one locations, including where the Night's Watch first encountered the White Walkers and where the Starks find a dead direwolf and her litter of pups. After your morning trek, travel on to Strangford, a small fishing village where you there is a break for lunch. Your guide will pass around a menu to pre-order a hot pub lunch from 13:00-14:00. You may also bring a packed lunch if you prefer. After lunch, visit Old Castle Ward, the location of Winterfell castle and courtyard in season one. Go on a second 3-kilometer walk around the estate to visit several season one and two locations including a tower house used as one of Walder Frey's Twins and Robb Stark's war camp in the Riverlands.  The final stop of the day is Inch Abbey, the 12th century ruins where Robb Stark was declared King in the North at the end of season one. Your guide will provide real wool Stark cloaks, Stark banners and metal swords and shields to help you go full immersive and channel your inner Stark solider.

Belfast: Game of Thrones Winterfell Locations Tour

Depart Leonardo Hotel (formerly Jurys Inn Hotel) at 7:30. Drive one hour to the first visit of the day, Old Castle Ward, the location of Winterfell castle and courtyard in season one. Take a morning trek around the estate to visit locations including Walder Frey's Twins and Robb Stark's Camp in the Riverlands. After the morning trek, you will then stop for lunch at a charming local pub. Your guide will pass around a menu to pre-order a hot pub lunch if you wish. You may also bring a packed lunch if you prefer (cost of lunch is not included in your ticket price). After lunch, visit Inch Abbey, the film location where Robb Stark became King in the North. Here your guide will provide real wool Stark cloaks, direwolf banners, metal swords and shields for photo opportunities. Final visit of the day is Tollymore Forest Park. This is the forest where the Night's Watch first encountered the White Walkers and where the Stark's find a dead direwolf and her litter of pups. After your trek has been completed you will then return to Belfast. You'll be dropped off back at Leonardo Hotel.

Day 1 You depart Dublin and travel north. You pass through picturesque countryside as you journey to Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Here you take a short city tour which covers the capital’s triumphs, tragedies and soul. You get time to discover the Titanic Quarter, a regenerated hub where the famous liner was built and launched in 1911. Leaving its excellent museums and attractions by the afternoon, we head into the incredible rural landscapes of County Down, where you can discover the world famous gardens and estate at Mount Stewart. After exploring the dignified majesty of the 19th century estate, you’ll be driven a short way to the seaside town of Bangor, your cosy base for the next two nights. Day 2  Leaving Bangor in the morning, you head north, following the winding and magnificent Causeway Coastal Route. A truly sensational experience, the journey encapsulates the sweeping valleys and eternal beauty of The Emerald Isle. Along the way you make stops in Glenarm and Ballycastle as well as some splendid attractions. In the afternoon, you enter Giant’s Causeway, where geological beauty and myth collide spectacularly. Leaving Giant’s Causeway, we venture through iconic locations from the TV series*, Game of Thrones, and discover the rich heritage of coastal Ireland. Then you head back to your accommodation in Bangor, where you can relax with a craft beer in one hand and locally caught seafood in the other. *You may have a chance to see the Dark Hedges. Day 3 Beginning a new day of sights and adventures, you leave Bangor and set out along the Ards Peninsula. At Portaferry, we set off on the picturesque ferry across the “Narrows” of Strangford Loch, where you have ample time for photos, whilst taking in the sights, sounds and scents of the loch. Then it’s off to Castle Ward, the location for Winterfell from Game of Thrones. You have the opportunity to discover where the famed and fictional Starks made their dwelling, and what living conditions would have been like for the real residents. From here, you follow in the holy footsteps of St Patrick through his historic, beautiful country. You will have time for lunch here and perhaps a visit to Down Cathedral in Downpatrick or the St Patrick’s centre. Then it’s a stunning, winding drive into the Mourne Mountains, where you’ll stand in awe amongst the towering granite peaks. From here we have a final stop at the shores of Carlingford Loch, before arriving in Dublin.

We had a great time with Lar and Dennis, even though it was a rainy day! Lar is a huge GOT fan and enthusiast, and it was wonderful to relive all those crucial moments from the series. We were two adults and two teenagers, and everyone loved the tour! Highly recommended!

For folks with mobility issues it Is NOT recommended as website states. Please note this it is absolutely true. Lots of walking steep hills rugged turf long day! Outside activities all day. Bring rain gear! Guide was awesome driver also excellent

The tour was our highlight of the whole trip, the places were beautiful, our guide was really great and super authentic. You shouldn't miss it!
