  • Lisbon: Old Town Tuk Tuk Tour

    1. Lisbon: Old Town Tuk Tuk Tour

This was where it all started. Meet in the heart of the city nestled on the oldest hill in Lisbon. It is the hill of fado and of the typical taverns that preserve their genius and traditional roots. From the quarters of Graça and Alfama, through Mouraria up to the São Jorge Castle, you may be lucky enough to come across a sardine barbecue on the streets. Hop out into Alfama, take a walk through this music quarter and listen to its cries. You will be able to see Roman remains, medieval houses that survived the 1755 earthquake, the magnificent Lisbon Cathedral, squares livened up by outdoor cafés and nooks and alleys reminiscent of Arab cities – Lisbon’s multicultural history has also left its mark here. In addition, enjoy incredible views of the city from the many natural windows that it offers.

Fantastic tour of the old town of Lisbon, Tiago was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what he did. He made us feel at home and was also very amusing. We saw some great sites and viewpoints. You will not regret doing this tour.

This was yet another wonderful experience. Since we requested an English speaking tour we ended up having our own private guide with Sofia who was just so pleasant and very knowledgeable of the Alfama zone and Lisbon. The stops along the way to taste Ginginha and Beirao along with their Pastel de Nata was delightful. Beautiful to see the architecture and landmarks still in existence. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. I highly recommend this tour.

We did this tour in the afternoon on the day we arrived in Lisbon. It was a great tour with a wonderful guide named Isabel. She was very knowledgeable and really tailored the tour to our interests. One member of our party had mobility issues and she was very kind in assisting him.

Alexandre is an excellent guide who has great knowledge of history and with whom it is a pleasure to take a tour in the Alfama.I recommend him for a tour in French because he was born in France and knows our country perfectly and in has preserved the Laurence culture
