Cascada Escondida Minca

Our team will be ready to pick you up at your hotel and begin our exciting adventure in Minca, we will have a 60-minute drive to Minca. We will begin a 50-minute walk along ecological trails. They will give us a talk about the complete process, production, harvesting, drying, roasting of coffee and we will also have an important talk about the importance of guadua that connects the different sectors of the mountains. We continue our journey by car to the planting area, to begin a 20-minute walk, passing the river until we reach a hidden waterfall 25 meters high, we will enjoy a refreshing bath of water from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, then we will begin a 50-minute walk, in the middle of the tropical humid forest until we arrive where we will delight ourselves with a delicious lunch, there we will have a talk about the complete process, production, collection, drying, roasting of the cocoa and we will learn how to make our own chocolate bar, We will end our adventure by returning to Santa Marta.

Thanks to its altitude, Minca offers the perfect setting to enjoy its beautiful waterfalls and five unique natural environments, surrounded by the most varied flora and fauna you can imagine. From Minca, we will begin our tour in a 4x4 truck, crossing the tropical rainforest and unpaved roads (trails). On this adventure, we will visit Pozo Azul, one of the most visited attractions; then we will continue to the impressive 30-meter Escondida Waterfall, ideal for canyoning. We will also visit the Oído del Mundo (Ear of the World), a sacred place for the indigenous communities of the mountains, and enjoy the Marinka 1 and Marinka 2 waterfalls, both 30 meters high. At each one, we can take a refreshing dip in the crystal clear waters from the Sierra Nevada. We will finish by returning along the same route.
