From Casablanca: Private Day Trip to Chefchaouen with Medina

Chefchauoen was amazing - this tour was awful. Do not book with this company! Driver was great, he is the only good part. Otherwise, this company was disorganized and dishonest. When we were on the route, we were asked if we wanted a tour guide. However, this activity clearly states that a tour guide is included. But we said yes, and that we paid for a tour guide. When we got there, the tour guide was awful. Mostly just had us follow him around, didn’t point out anything or teach us anything about the city. At the end, he tried to charge us 300 MAD after we had already paid the company $600 USD. We were furious. We called the company, and they said we had to pay because we only booked a transfer. We refused, saying our booking clearly states this came with a tour. They finally ceded. Regardless, it was an immense amount of stress and made the ride back very awkward. Definitely go see Chefchauoen, but go some other way!

The tour included a guide service, which we were told was not included, and we were offered a guide on site at an extra cost, which saved the tour and we were able to enjoy our stay there. What disappointed us was that the information did not say this and also marked it as a service that was to be had for two hours. The water that was said to be included was not offered to us either. The driver was very friendly and the transfer service was good, but not offering or providing a service that is not included, and also adding it on site at an additional cost.
