Casablanca: Guided Sightseeing Tour with Hassan II Mosque

As soon as excursion booked I received a whatsapp message and I was able to answer questions regarding pick up at the port. On the day, I received a message giving the drivers name and advising when he was on the way to the port and again when he had arrived and was there outside the port gates and took me straight to the taxi. It was all very straight forward and easy. The driver was Mehdi and we picked up our tourguide - Zouhair just outside the port. The tour started with the mosque where we had plenty of time as part of a small group. We were then taken to various other 'tourist' stops around the city. It was all very easy with our driver wating nearby to pick us up and the tour guide very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. Thoroughly recommend. Much better option than taking a ship excursion on a large coach. Was cheaper too.

I booked tour at the start of my visit to Morocco to get a taste of Casa and start orienting myself to the area and local culture. My guide, Rabii, was incredible - so knowledgeable and excited to share information on all of the sites we visited. I felt like I saw nearly all of the major sites in Casa, learned so much about them, and got great pictures. The only thing I think we missed was the old medina. I was a little nervous to be left on my own to walk around the Habbous medina (apparently only special guides for the medina are able to give tours of it), but it worked out and was still a good inclusion on the tour. I could have done without the stop at the carpet store/apothecary/etc. for a sales pitch at the end as I had not planned on buying anything and while it was interesting to learn about the different styles, they put a lot of pressure on you to make a purchase.

The tour was excellent and the Guide so attentive. I had wished we had more time (as we ran out) to see the Cathedral, and I would have liked more time shopping in a souk. The shop that we were taken to was not what I would want in the future.
