Maui is an amazing guide, very fun and inviting. He keeps you all informed and lets you know how the day will go. He is very happy and proud to be Mexican and wants you to enjoy the experience of visiting his country! We started by visiting Statue Ven a la Luz, it’s inside a small area now which usually has long queues , we were lucky to be the only group. Once you take pics by the main statue there are some smaller ones to walk and see Following this we went to the Tulum ruins where you are given free time to talk from the North to South area . Guides are extra for this if needed Then you visit Casa Tortugaa which is a really nice quaint place if you don’t swim you can walk around the area or chill by the bar They take you also for a lunch in a very nice local place here which has a typical buffet : rice chicken or pork and spaghetti with salads On the return journey here is a random stop off in PDC which seems pointless but I guess it allows people to buy touristy stuff

The tour highlights were definitely the Tulum Mayan ruin and the Cenote swim! The Mayan ruins were a great experience set in an amazing area however a guide is not included (it’s optional) but I feel that this is something that could definitely enhance the tour. The Cenotes at Casa Tortuga were a great way to end the day - super fun. My only criticisms would be that the day is just far too long! We started at 06:30 and didn’t arrive back at our hotel until around 22:00. The first photo stop and the Playa del Carmen stop aren’t necessary and don’t add anything special to the tour. The last stop also allowed for people to return back 30 mins late which isn’t okay when the day has already been so long. Overall, it was a great experience that I would recommend. I would have liked to have learned more about the places as we ventured (and for the buses to be warmer!), but all in all it was a fab day.

We had a lot of fun! Highlight of the trip was definitely the cenotes. Wish had some time to explore a little in Tulum. When at the ruins, you are able to walk to the beach. You go through a gate but we were told we were not able to reenter the ruins once we exit that gate. We asked another staff once we got back to the entrance of where you start the ruins, and they said to tell the people at the 2nd entrance that you had to use the bathroom. They’ll allow you to return into the ruins once. The food was also pretty good!
