Casa De Los Picos

Check in at our office in central Madrid 15 minutes in advance of your tour. Leave the city towards Segovia aboard one of our air-conditioned coaches. Our first stop will be in the city of Segovia. Upon arrival, we will be divided into different groups. If you have chosen the Segovia at your own pace, you will enjoy approximately three hours of free time to visit the city on your own. If you have chosen the option with monuments, you will have access to the Alcázar of Segovia, where you will enjoy a guided tour while you marvel at its spectacular fortification. Those who have the gastronomic menu included will head to the restaurant; to enjoy a typical local menu with roast suckling pig that will not leave you indifferent. After visiting Segovia, we will continue our tour to Avila, one of the best preserved fortified cities in Spain. Starting from Madrid, we will head in the afternoon to Segovia, a small city that will surprise us from the moment we get off the bus. The walking tour will begin at the Alcazar of Segovia, one of the most famous and well-preserved medieval castles in the world. The Alcazar probably reminds you of some Disney castles, as its exterior architecture served as inspiration for some of Walt Disney's films, such as Cinderella's Castle or the Queen's Castle in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. After the visit to the Alcazar, we will walk up to the Plaza Mayor, where we will find different monuments that will impress us, such as the Town Hall, the Juan Bravo Theatre and the Cathedral of Segovia, where we will have a complete guided tour of its interior. At the end of the visit to the Cathedral you will have some free time to enjoy Segovia at your leisure. At the appointed time, we will meet again at the Plaza Mayor. We will discover some of the city's monuments, such as the Casa de los Picos, whose façade has 617 granite peaks, or the Plaza Medina del Campo, where you will find the Church of San Martín, built in 1.117, and the Torreón de Lozoya. We will finish the guided tour at the Aqueduct, one of the oldest monuments in Spain. With more than 16 kilometers long, it was built over 2.000 years ago. During the visit we will discover how it was built, in which no cement was used, as well as the route that the water took to reach Segovia.

We will go around the incredible Cathedral of Segovia until we reach the Plaza Mayor to reveal the tragic love story hidden behind the recumbent Christ that houses the main temple. The myths of Antonio Perez or the Cabellera de la Reina await us in squares such as Corpus Christi or Medina del Campo. As we continue walking, the exclusive facade of the Casa de los Picos will capture our attention and you can learn about the theories that circulate about the construction of this curious facade.
