Cartagena: Isla Baru Beach Club at Playa Blanca

We had an amazing time! Everyone that worked there was so nice and helpful! They gave us great tips to be aware of b4 getting to mambo beach! Which worked out great. Definitely recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a great beach vibe for the day!

My husband and I were unsure what to expect but overall very much enjoyed our trip to Playa Blanca. Finding our guide to board the charter bus to Playa Blanca was easy. Our start time was pushed to 10AM vs the 9AM that we had signed up for, which was a little annoying at first but worked out. It was over an hour to the beach after dropping off other guests at the Aviary. We were passed off to a waiter from Mambo once at the beach. He led us to the beach club, where we were greeted by the rest of the staff. English was limited here but manageable. We were able to purchase Balinese beds with a view of the water and we found these comfortable. There are plenty of individuals coming through to sell services and goods but we didn’t feel that it was excessive. Lunch was quite good (we both had the mojarra/fried fish) and all the drinks we purchased were good. We napped, swam and then paid to use a jet ski for 30 min. Only complaint: got back to town later than would have cared for (~7PM).
