Full description

Embark on a customized day trip from Cartagena and enjoy a trip to some of Colombia's famous sites and beautiful islands along the way. Leave Cartagena and travel to Baru Village and the Rosario Islands, and enjoy boating through the beautiful mangrove forests while trying to spot local wildlife.

Enjoy the freedom of a customizable private tour and choose the stops you'd like to visit on the tour for a personalized experience catered to your group. Be picked up from your accommodation and travel by land to Baru Village, about an hour and fifteen minutes outside of the historic center of Cartagena.

Start the tour with a visit to the Baru Village and enjoy a tasty traditional breakfast in the village, and visit Villa Bonga before leaving for the mangrove forest and Rosario Islands on the boat. Take the time to stop for a snorkeling activity in a coral reef environment.

Stop at a local beach and have a welcome drink while resting on the beach. Enjoy a local lunch from 1-2 pm at a house in Baru before continuing the trip with a walking tour of the village and a visit to some of the village's handcrafters. Return to your hotel following the end of the tour at 3 pm.

What a great day tour! Valentina was an amazing tour guide- so friendly and accommodating. We learned so much about the history of Cartagena and the islands. You can tell she really loves what she does! And Luis is a wonderful tour coordinator! He’s so responsive via WhatsApp as soon as we booked the tour and even said hello to us when he saw us on the island. Highly recommended. Will definitely refer some family and friends who visit Cartagena.

One of the best days my girlfriend and I spent in Colombia was going on this tour with our incredible guide, Valentina. She did an amazing job educating us about Barú and the Rosario Islands while also letting us customize our tour to have the best experience possible. We had the best homemade breakfast and lunch while also getting to snorkel and relax on the beach. The beach she also took us to had virtually no tourists by the time we were there and we had such a pleasant time! Absolutely recommend this for anyone who wants to explore the Rosario Islands without any fuss.

Great activity for me, my wife and my three children. Luis is an excellent guide. The snorkeling, the corals and the fish were spectacular and Luis was always looking out for us. We also had delicious lobster and crab on the beach. In addition to what we saw, the family and place stories that Luis told us were very interesting. If you go to Cartagena don't miss this activity. A thousand times better than going to any beach club.
