Playa Blanca was well worth the trip for a day on the white sand beach with blue water. We were picked up from hotel, stopped at grocery store and then to the beach. We were them taken by boat to a spot further down the beach which was nice because this is a very crowded beach. The further you go down, there are less people. We went on a Tuesday. I can’t imagine how packed it would be on a weekend. The tour included a shaded upright chair but you can rent lounge chairs for good price which we did. Lunch was really good grilled red snapper which is included. But we had to walk back to exit which was kind of hard walking through sand for 15 minutes. One note - our voucher said that tour ends at destination and there was no return trip. I noticed this the day before and panicked when I realized how far it was so I contacted the company. They were easy to reach by WhatsApp and responded quickly. Turns out that information was an error and we were indeed brought back.

Our tour guide was amazing! He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He even helped us confirm and locate our pick up point for a different excursion that we planned for the following day with another company! Definitely recommend going!

Full description

On this 7-hour excursion you’ll depart the city of Cartagena de Indias in the morning and head out on a panoramic drive around the island of Manga.

See the Bosque neighborhood and the important industrial area of Mamonal that’s home to the local oil industry. Cross the Campo Elias Teran Bridge that connects the mainland sector to the paradisiacal island of Baru.

When you arrive on the island you’ll marvel at the stunning crystal-clear waters and white sandy beach. Stop to enjoy a lunch of typical local specialties. Spend some time at leisure sunbathing, swimming and just relaxing at Playa Blanca.
