We were picked up by Diana and Carlos the driver. Diana explained our itinerary very clear and gave us pointers on what to do at the beach. Carlos the driver was friendly and entertained us with good music. We then were split into groups and my group had Guillermo. Guillermo stayed with us make sure we received our free drink and food. He checked on us diligently to make sure we were satisfied. This was one of the best tours.

Starts with a bus ride to Baru island with a quick stop for snacks and drinks. Continuing on you arrive at Playa Blanca when a boat picks you up. The boat is old but typical of all tours in the area. Taken to mangroves where animals are pointed out to you. You get to feed a raccoon, they are friendly here. Then a quick stop to check out local almond trees and take pictures on a little beach. After that you are taken to a coral with a good amount of fish. There are other boats but it didn’t feel too crowded. The crew handed out very good equipment for snorkeling. A lot of tours give you crappy equipment, very surprised here. You have a chance to dive down and have pictures taken for you. Finally arrive at Playa Blanca for lunch. I choose fish and got a delicious tilapia lunch. After lunch you can spend time on beach or walk around. We explored a cave with bats.

This tour was one of my favorite tours while in Colombia. I had never done snorkeling before so I really enjoyed it. The tour was great. Daniel (bus guide) Ivan (boat guide) both did a great job. They promised to send me all the pictures they took and they did the only thing I’d recommend for anyone planning to attend this tour is to make sure your tour guide sprinkles some bread before they snap your pictures to make sure they capture fish around you otherwise you will end up with just a picture of yourself under water :( I think that was the only downside for me. The food was great, I literally ate everything on my plate (went with the fish option). I definitely recommend this tour.
