Get picked up from your hotel early in the morning to catch the birds at their most active before the day begins. Travel to a nature reserve located 45 minutes outside the city to begin your bird-watching. The reserve has areas of both tropical forest and gallery forests for optimal bird-spotting. Spot native and exotic birds such as pygmy owls, squirrel cuckoos, and rufous-tailed jacamars. You will also have the opportunity to spot hummingbirds, tanagers, flycatchers, and wrens. Continue bird-watching until 9:00 AM when you will stop for a traditional Colombian breakfast before continuing your tour until noon, when you will be dropped off back at your hotel. Your guide will send you the photos of your tour when you get back.

Leave Cartagena and travel to Baru Village and the Rosario Islands, and enjoy boating through the beautiful mangrove forests while trying to spot local wildlife. Get deeply acquainted with the former colonial port turned touristic hub with an extensive tour of its most iconic locations. Begin early in the morning, at 7:30 am, leaving from the hotel area in Bocagrande or Laguito, as well as the northern part of Cartagena. Rendezvous with your guide for the tour at the Pegasus Pier, where a sport boat will be waiting to take you sailing across the entire Bay of Cartagena. You will sail around the island of Bocachica, a stunning sight and where the city's first fortification was built. Stop at Isla Grande, famous for the mansion Pablo Escobar built, as well as the wreckage of one of his private planes. Following this landmark, the snorkelling begins in the natural pool of San Martín de Pajarales. Relax afterwards at the Cholón Island with a typical Caribbean lunch, as well as music coming from boats and yachts. At 9 AM, arrive at the island of Baru and board a boat. Cruise for 15 minutes through the crystal clear waters until you arrive at the snorkeling site. After 1 hour of enjoyable snorkeling, continue the tour into the mangroves to see birds, iguanas, and other species. Journey from Cartagena to the nearby fishing village of La Boquilla. Experience the atmosphere of a place that has retained its Afro-Caribbean heritage from the days when the area was once a haven for freed slaves. Meet locals who are proud of their African ancestry and children feel the rhythm of the percussion in each movement. Boat through the mangrove forest and keep your eyes peeled for the amazing animals native to the region. Take in the unique surroundings of the swamp as you pass through bright tunnels formed by dense foliage overhead. See the fishermen pulling in their nets. When you return from your mangrove adventure, dig in to a delicious lunch of typical Afro-Caribbean cuisine. Enjoy the flavors of coconut and other local seasonings common to Caribbean gastronomy mixed with fresh, locally-caught seafood. Take a short walk on the beach to digest your lunch before heading back to Cartagena. 

An air-conditioned bus will pick you up at your accommodation in the tourist area of Bocagrande or Laguito, those not staying in this area must go to the meeting point, the 2 big pegasus statue across the street from the clock tower. the trip takes approximately one hour to the island of baru, the bus has to cross a bridge that has been built 8 years ago. After one hour trip you will arrive at Baru Island where the adventure begins. At the restaurant where lunch will be served, you can wait for the instructor to contact you to start the activity. The course consists of 30 minutes of theory, preparation and equipment set up, 15 minutes of transportation in a boat. You will contemplate the underwater world, interact with a great variety of species, explore the coral reefs and discover what the depths of the sea can teach you. 1 hour of diving in the reefs and 15 minutes of return to the beach. At 12 o'clock you can enjoy a delicious typical lunch with options of fried fish, grilled chicken or vegetarian. accompanied by rice, salad and plantains. After lunch you can enjoy an afternoon of a relaxing sea bath, breeze, sun and a beautiful view in a place of turquoise waters and white sand and you use chairs, beach beds and umbrellas included in the tour. You can do a walking tour on the beach and see the culture of the native islanders (Don't forget the name of the restaurant or any reference point, before the walk). At 2:30 a guide will be calling you to leave to take the boat to go to playa blanca and walk to catch the bus at 3:00 you will arrive in Cartagena at 4:30 depending on the traffic since it is rush hour. You will be dropped off at the lodging where you were picked up or at the meeting point for the others.

Experience Cartagena from the water's edge during a sunset kayaking adventure from Castillogrande Beach and Cartagena Bay. Paddle a sea kayak along the complex and diverse coastline as you discover the most enchanting features of this beautiful city. Choose between a shared or private tour then enjoy a very gentle paddle of about 2 km which requires no previous kayaking experience. Climb up the 50-foot volcano, accessible by a staircase, and enter the crater to relax in the natural mud that the volcano produces. Sitting inside the mud volcano, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Santa Catalina region. The mud itself is not only relaxing but its minerals are renowned for helping rejuvenate the skin.
