Great catamaran day. We heard the speed boat tours out to Rosario were a bit rough so we were really glad we went with this catamaran experience. It was a much smoother ride. The catamaran was spacious and they didn’t pack it full with people so there was more than enough room for everyone -sun, shade, and the netting at the front of the boat. Food was freshly prepared on the boat- it was delicious and portion sizes were good. We were also surprised to get an abundance of juices and even some breakfast snacks (empanadas, cheese pastries, etc). Alcoholic beverages were available for a reasonable price and the piña colada was delicious. Only complaint is that it doesn’t say anywhere in the booking to bring an ID with you, as you will need it in order to check out a snorkel mask. Also note: this tour does not go to any beaches. It makes two stops at places near the island where you can hop out and swim.

This outing was such good value for money! Incredible views, incredible cocktails which aren’t overly expensive and snacks and a full large lunch provided! We booked this almost by accident - we thought we were booking a tour where you could visit 5 islands but instead this was an incredibly relaxing day on a gorgeous catamaran! Snorkelling was a huge bonus, and being able to dive off the boat into clear warm sea was brilliant. As an English speaker, the staff were incredibly patient and they pointed out points of interest in English with a history behind them. For anyone looking for a relaxing way to spend a day near Cartagena I definitely recommend this for pure relaxation and the brilliant staff, along side the great value for money :)

Full description

Set sail for the Rosario and San Bernardo Corals National Natural Park on a full-day tour from Cartagena. The catamaran departs from the Muelle de la Bodeguita pier in front of the walled city. After your welcome drink, enjoy the journey to the Rosario Islands, sailing and motor sailing on the catamaran. The vessel is equipped with comfortable seats, where you can sit both in the shade and in the sun. There is a bar service on board, so you can enjoy a variety of soft drinks throughout the excursion.  Experience paradise with a stop in front of an idyllic beach of turquoise waters and white sands, where you can swim and play with fun inflatables. Practice snorkeling, if you wish, and admire the fascinating underwater life with colorful tropical fish and various types of coral. The crew will prepare a delicious lunch for you to enjoy on board while you sail back to Cartagena at the end of a relaxing day.

Nice day out. No sailing was done though, they got the sails up but kept the engine on full blast so a bit pointless, not the relaxing sailing I was hoping for. There are 2 stops for swimming which is nice but you don't get off and actually land on any of the islands. At the first swim stop you can use their snorkels, you have to have a physical photo id with you to borrow equipment! so bring passport or id. I asked them where we should swim for good snorkelling and the guy just pointed down and said "here", but there was nothing directly around the boat. It was only after most of us had given up being able to see a single fish that we realised there was a reef about 30m in the other direction, they just hadn't bothered to point it out or tell us where to look. Food was fine, free soft drinks was good, and the paid bar wasn't too pricey. Overall we had a nice day and enjoyed swimming off the boat but certainly could be better
