Amazing and very impressive discovery. Thanks to our guide Manuela, who speaks French very well and knows the quarries and their history perfectly (and also masters driving her 4x4 on sometimes dizzying roads), we were also able to see an artist at work in his studio. What happiness. Recommended without reservation.

Me and my husband had booked the tour (as German-Swiss) in Italian. The guide picked us up on time, was very friendly and explained everything to us very competently in easy-to-understand language. (Unfortunately, we forgot to ask his name out of sheer amazement - so a big compliment to the stranger.) Unexpectedly, we were the only guests, which made the experience even more special for us. We visited a stone carver's studio, were led to a fantastic vantage point in a 4x4 Landrover over a steep dirt road and were also allowed to visit a cava in the mountain. The Lardo tasting also took place. Although I usually suffer from a fear of heights, I always felt absolutely safe and in good hands. Even if the tour is not cheap, the price is absolutely justified and worth every €. A great experience!!!

The door was great. Friendly companion who knows the place and terrain and who seems to know the whole area. The miners too. This is perfectly fine for general exploration of the Carrara mining site. It is overwhelming to see the dimensions and hardness of this trade with your own eyes and to let it affect you. Those looking for a good photo gallery will probably be disappointed as stops are not possible everywhere for safety reasons. But you get to maxing out insane panorama pictures. As I said, the purists will choose to climb on foot and will be rewarded for every step. Mountain lovers will definitely add a trip across the entire mountain range to this excursion. Since marble quarrying in Carrara is so steeped in history, a visit to the Carrara Cathedral should not be missed from this door, as well as a visit to the house where Michelangelo was a guest. But overall my personal grade is 5. Special thanks to you Paolo!!!
