Our Wye Valley Heritage Trail journeys through history as well as the beautiful scenery of the Wye Valley, one of our five magnificent Welsh Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Discover Roman times at Caerleon and the historic picturesque market town of Monmouth, birthplace of King Henry V. Admire Monmouth's Monnow Bridge, iconic 13th century gatehouse bridge, the only remaining one of its design in Britain. This sightseeing day tour also includes a stop at the magnificent Cistercian Tintern Abbey, founded in 1131. On the way back to Cardiff we'll drive by Newport Transporter Bridge, an engineering marvel, a remarkable Grade 1 listed structure and one of only six operational transporter bridges left worldwide.

Fantastic tour with a great guide/ driver Federico who knew a lot about the historiy of the Romans, Castles and the cathedral

The trip content was interesting. The vehicle used was terrible. There was another tour by the same company which I saw and the vehicle was a late model small bus. 100% better than the one they used for our tour. The seats were dangerous and the suspension was crap. We rattled and banged around the tour route. I did tip the driver due to him giving me a tour of the Roman ruins however there was controversy over whether the Tintern Abbey was destroyed by fire. He was also a safe driver.
