Me and my girlfriend had am amazing time. Ricky is very knowledgeable and well informed on different topics regarding Cardiff and the surroundings: history, politics, customs, traditions, urban legends, geography. He was very friendly and accommodating and answered all out questions. The gorgeous places we visited were enhanced by having someone to tell us local legends and historical facts. We enjoyed every minute or our trip, from visiting the most important places in Cardiff to the gorgeous view of the bay, the visit of a ruin castle in a field full of beautiful, friendly horses, the ancient burial site, to the créme dé la créme, the absolute stunning beach that left us breathless with its unique beauty. Definitely wear waterproof shoes and pack a waterproof jacket just in case, we had beautiful weather. One of the best tours we have been on and the best outdoors activity of this year so far.
Depart London in the morning, and then travel across country by bus to visit the historic port city of Cardiff, capital of Wales since 1955. Take a sightseeing bus tour on arrival to admire the impressive monuments of the city center, where highlights include the new National Assembly building in the regenerated waterfront district of Cardiff Bay. Get some free time for lunch before traveling to historic Caerphilly Castle, famous for having the most elaborate water defenses in Britain. Get some free time to explore the medieval grounds, and marvel at the impressive gatehouses and other architectural features of the 13th-century monument. Depart in the early evening for the scenic drive back to London through the Welsh Valleys and get dropped off in central London in the evening.
We loved Caerphilly Castle and our tour guide was great! He was knowledgeable, helpful and proud to be Welsh! It was the perfect amount of time and we would highly recommend.

Gillian sat with me near the beginning of the tour and we discussed my expectations from the tour. Overall she was very nice and informative, and we even went on a book hunting to answer some burning questions I had. However, it was only later when she offered me to take me to Caerphilly Castle and back which very impressed me. It went on an hour past our appointment but she did it anyway. She is an excellent guide and if I had more cash on me after the shopping I would have tipped more. Totally deserved it.
Tony Lloyd is the best local guide we had in this trip. His knowledge of the city is amazing. He turned our initial negative impression of Cardiff to a very positive one . My daughters adored him. He is witty, funny, fatherly, and went out of his way several times to make sure we had an enjoyable 3 hour tour of Cardiff. His being a tourist himself in more than 1000 cities around the globe prepared him to be this excellent .Me and my family will definitely recommend him to anyone who visits the city .
Darren was exactly the guy for this trip. Very knowledgeable and helpful for my purposes to learn about life in Cardiff. Even though the weather was terrible, we made the most of it seeing the sites and even sharing some coffee and a meal when the weather got really bad. Highly recommended.
Tony is an outstanding guide, very knowledgeable and personable. He managed to give us a tour that satisfied us both. Myhusband went to university in Cardiff and knows the city well, I had never been.
Excellent tour of Cardiff’s hidden gems and the harbour. It really rounded off our experience and showed us a lot more than we had time to find in our own. Hoping to be back in before too long.
