We booked this somewhat last minute as we had a change in plans in our UK travels and decided to go up to Cardiff. Great decision! Rikki is very knowledgeable and personable, and clearly loves his country of Wales very much. Beforehand we had no knowledge of the Gowar Peninsula, but every stop was great scenery (we also lucked out on an unusually sunny and warm day) with a goo story or history behind it. You make about 5-6 stops, some quick, some where you walk for 30-45 minutes, and lunch at a pub (not included). I believe we walked about 5-6 miles in total, but my 70 year old parents did it and though they were tired, said it was one of the best tours we’ve been on.

The tour is amazing! The guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. We’ve seen many places in a short period of time. I thought there is a hike to see waterfall but didn’t get to do it maybe because it’s raining. Otherwise enjoyed everything in the tour including lunch, so good.

Be forewarned as it involved a lot of walking, most of it moderately challenging. Varies among gravel, rocky, paved, & dirt paths. Easy to slip & wrench an ankle on loose or protruding stones.

Steve was an excellent guide for the Wye Valley and Breton Beacons tour. He was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed seeing many sights.

Amazing trip highly recommend it for lone travellers and for families etc
