Meet your guide in Central Cardiff and set out to your first stop, Caerwent Roman town. See the remains of the Caerleon fortress and walled town, Roman amphitheaters and baths, and the legionary barracks.

Follow the Wye Gorge towards Tintern and stop to visit Tintern Abbey, a sight made famous by painter JWM Turner. Continue through the Forest of Dean to explore the villages of Abergavenny and Talybont-on-Usk, where you can admire the narrowboats.

Next, enter the Brecon Beacons National Park and take in views of Pen y Fan and the reservoirs of Talybont and Pontsticill. Finish your tour in Merthyr Tydfil, the cradle of the Welsh industrial revolution, before returning to Cardiff in the evening.

Punctual timing. The tour guide provided a lot of interesting facts and knowledge about the places we visited. The small size of the group was an advantage. We would recommend this tour to everyone who has a free day in Cardiff and wants to get out of the city.
