Your captain will select the best snorkeling sites in Kealakekua Bay, as the friendly and professional crew members provide site briefings and historical facts. The crew members will provide snorkel tips and basic instructions to guests of all ages and experience levels. Life jackets, floatation noodles, and viewfinder boards ( available upon request),as well as masks, fins, and snorkels are provided aboard the Hoku Nui. The crew members will help you enter and exit the water if needed and fish identification cards are available for purchase as well. They will have lunch ready when you have snorkeled up an appetite. Snorkel time is approximately 45min at each location. Make sure to bring an underwater camera to capture the colorful schools of fish, pods of spinner dolphins that are also commonly spotted in the bay, and the landscaped ledges of ancient lava flows. You will then have a moment for another breath taking view of the bay while you enjoy a sumptuous lunch with beverages. Exiting the bay, you set sail for “Red Hill” (weather permitting) or another snorkel site along the Kona coast. our guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. we did not opt to snorkel, which I kinda wish we did after the ride. we saw dolphins and whales on our way to the snorkel spot at Captain Cook. linch was great - very fresh and provided sufficient drinks for everyone. Would definitely do this trip again without hesitation.

Well organized Great captain and staff Simple but good sandwiches from Costco Fresh cut pineapple Snorkelling was very good - many species of fish- but gets really busy when other many groups arrived. Got there about 30 min before. Saw some spinner dolphins and also some humpback whales. Would recommend.

Ula and jeremiha were fantastic. Very kind attentive qnd informative. Amazing exposurz to whales spinner dolphins and a healthy reef with many fish. Great stops lunch and storieq! Please use reef safe sun screen! Live this company and will stay with them moving forward for all future tours!!

We really enjoyed this trip. We met humpback whales along the way. The James Cook monument was interesting, but we were sorry that we were not allowed to go ashore. The snorkeling was interesting. Thank you for the activity.
