Full description
Experience the majestic beauty of Capri by boat on a trip around the entire coast, and marvel at the caves that line the shore along with other natural features. You can choose to depart in the morning on a boat scheduled to arrive at the Blue Grotto before 13:00, when the lines can be very long. Take advantage of non-stop departures every 30 minutes from Pier 21 in the Marina Grande, and then cruise across the sparkling waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Pass iconic attractions, such as Tiberius's Leap where, according to legend, disobedient servants and undesired guests at the Villa Jovis were hurled over the cliff on the orders of Emperor Tiberius. See the stone arch of Arco Naturale, dating from the Paleolithic age, and pass the iconic Faraglioni rock formations before your arrival at the Blue Grotto. To visit the sea cave, board the small wooden rowboat and pay the additional €15 entrance fee. The visit is optional, and the lines can sometimes be as long as 2 hours. Along the way, benefit from the services of an English-speaking skipper - some also speak French and Spanish.

Know before you go

  • If the Blue Grotto is closed due to sea conditions, the duration of the tour will be 1 hour. This is because 1 hour would be spent waiting in line for entrance to the grotto.

  • If the Blue Grotto is closed due to adverse weather conditions, the tour operator is not liable to refund transport costs.
  • When the Blue Grotto is open, the stop will be 2 hours. When the sea cave is closed, only 1 hour will be spent here.
  • Should the waiting time for entrance to the Blue Grotto exceed 45 minutes, the crew reserves the right to return to the port. In this case the passenger has the right to reuse the tickets to the Blue Grotto on a future departure.

Very kind and polite staff always available (both in port and on board). They did their utmost to make us experience the thrill of visiting the blue grotto. In fact, on the day of the tour the cave was closed due to a municipal ordinance, by virtue of this, they made sure to host us on another tour the next day only for the visit to the cave. Great! Well done. In my opinion, the islanders are exquisite people, as opposed to too pretentious tourists

The boat tour around Capri was wonderful - sun, sea and Capri at 27 degrees. I would not recommend the tour to the Blue Grotto (14 euros / person), a real tourist trap. 3 minutes in the grotto; the light is beautiful, but not worth the money to be turned on by the operator

Great trip.

Stopped at all the grottos, passed thru the arch, our captain was very informative, capri island is stunning. Got to go in the blue grotto, cool experience. How they do it is they drop off everyone at the dock then you join another boat back to the blue grotto, only 10 min away, no extra cost except the grotto, be prepared for your boat guide to ask for a tip, kinda annoying. So the tour is 1 hour plus the wait for the grotto is another hour.
