Gilde over Cappadocia on a hot air balloon flight and watch the sunrise over the incredible landscapes and fairy chimneys. Have a traditional lunch and explore the cave churches of Göreme.

Be picked up at your hotel before sunrise, and journey to the launch site of your hot air balloon flight. Watch the sunrise over Cappadocia as you glide over settlements depending on the conditions. Float back to the ground for a post-flight celebration and collect your flight certificate. Then, marvel at the rock formations of the Devrent Valley before going to Monks Valley (Pashabagi), where the hermits built their cave dwellings and churches. Try your hand at pottery in Avanos and watch the potters at work using a technique that has remained unchanged for generations. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and explore the cave churches of Göreme Open Air Museum. Marvel at the Byzantine wall paintings depicting biblical scenes, and get a panoramic view of the valley and its fairy chimneys before visiting Uchisar Castle at the region's highest point.

The company was good, they contacted me a day before of the flight by WhatsApp and arranged the pick up to the Hot Air Balloon site and they gave us a little treat for breakfast. The flight was wonderful and after they dropped us at the hotel to have breakfast and picked us up an hour later for the rest of the tour. The guide was very friendly and explained with details all the historical information, the lunch was a buffet and was very good. We had a good amount of time to take pictures and to enjoy the day.

This tour is organized in two parts: 1. We were picked up for the hot air balloon around 04:20 and driven over to the take-off site. We started our ascension around 05:00, with the flight lasting around an hour. The pilot was skillful and guided us through a couple of valleys as well as over different towns. He ultimately landed the balloon directly onto the trailer. We were then dropped back off to our hotel around 06:45 – in time to grab breakfast. 2. The full-day tour started at 10:00. We jumped from one historical/scenic site to another, with plenty of time given to take pictures and/or visit the local stores. Each stop was carefully planned and timed to stick the schedule. The guide (Aygul) was very knowledgeable and friendly, which contributed in making this tour an amazing and enriching experience.

What a wonderful day! Just be aware- it is a long hard day, so if you don’t want to wake up early and be out all day, don’t book this tour. We had an incredible time- honestly one of the best days of our life! Our tour guide Augyl was so kind and accommodating - clearly well respected by the owners of the places we went. We have been in Turkey for over a week and a half and this was hands down the best lunch that we have had- they treated us like royalty! Augyl communicated quickly and answered all our questions prior to leaving on the tour and was very well informed about the history of the area. She even asked us where we wanted to go/see and adjusted our day to meet our desires. This truly was a once in a lifetime experience and I highly recommend!!
