At the starting point, we will spend around 15 minutes to give you a quick safety briefing, a demonstration on how to use your e-bike and all its’ functions and hand out your equipment. Once you are all set up, we are ready to go on this adventure and have lots of fun together! To start, we’ll head over the bridge dividing the Blue and the Green lakes, and enjoy the lakeside view going to the Peninsula and the peaceful picnic area of Baía do Silencio (“Bay of Silence“). Heading back to the bridge along easy dirt tracks, get ready for a long and steep ascent on the main road, along which you can stop at the viewpoints of Lagoa de Santiago (“Santiago Lagoon“) and Cerrado das Freiras (“Nuns Haven”). Continuing onwards and upwards, till finally reaching the Viewpoint of Vista do Rei (“Kings’ View“) for a magnificent view of the Blue and Green Lakes below. Then, a more adventurous trail lies ahead taking you along Cumeeira Pequena (“Small Summit Rim“) on a graveled road. Passing Lomba do Vasco Viewpoint we’ll finish the tour going down through the heart of the village of Sete Cidades, passing by the Parish Church of São Nicolau, leading us back to the start point. SALTO DO PREGO – SANGUINHO: In this tour, which begins in the parish of Faial da Terra, we will walk side by side with a beautiful river that will guide us through sensational orchards, wooden bridges, forests, and typical houses/roads, until we reach the magical waterfall of Salto do Prego – whose crystal waters you will have the opportunity to try. On the way back, we will cross the old abandoned village of Sanguinho, which has been gradually recovering its charm and liveliness. Then, we will make a brief stop at the formidable viewpoint of Pico dos Bodes, after which we invite you to: enjoy a refreshing dive in Povoação / Ribeira Quente, OR take a cozy bath in the Thermal Springs of Furnas, OR enjoy the rest of the time to wander. NOTE: The trail can be quite steep and slippery in some areas.

Travel along a comprehensive route through the heart of Ribeira Grande and its surrounding landscapes. Join an insightful e-bike tour and learn about the area from your guide as you ride along. Come across historic landmarks, panoramic viewpoints, and gorgeous beaches. Start with a safety briefing and learn how to use your e-bike. Put on your protective gear and head into the Ribeira Grande city center for a short walking tour. Observe the architecture of the older buildings, including the Holy Spirit Church, the 8 Arches Bridge, and the City Hall and clock tower. Begin cycling by a small canal and along tree-lined roads, passing by pastures with horses and cows. Ride up gentle ascents on typical volcanic gravel, accompanied by the sound of rushing water coming from the many nearby springs. Arrive at the Fajã do Redondo Dam and stop for a closer look. Take the road down to Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande. Find 9 holes in the ground, used for the confection of stews and other local delicacies that are made using the heat of the volcano. Just a few meters away, reach the thermal baths of Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande, dating back to the 19th Century. Following a cobblestone road, pass by backroads built by Azorean forefathers, with a variety of flowers and trees making this a very scenic ride. Arrive at the viewpoint of Coroa da Mata, then cross the main road to admire views of the northern coastline from the Viewpoint of St Iria. Move on to a dirt track, wind your way through quaint village streets and pastures, and reach the Port of St Iria. Take in this old fishing port, once the primary waypoint for northern commerce. Appreciate the volcanic coastline up close, with small islets, caves, and massive rock formations. Finally, encounter the unique black-sand beaches of Monte Verde and Areal de Santa Bárbara. Relax and enjoy a refreshing dive into clear waters after a morning of cycling. Note: The minimum height required for this activity is 1.50m.

Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga classes start at the shore of the Blue Lake. After distribution of all your equipment you will be given a brief explanation on how to use the Stand-Up Paddle Board and everything you need to know before heading out on the water. After the demonstration we will take our Stand-up Paddle board and take a short ride together to gain some confidence and balance on the water and then the SUP Yoga class will begin. We will start with a creative vinyasa sequence to warm up and strengthen the body. We will stretch all the muscles and quiet the mind, along with breathing exercises. We will end our session with a meditative relaxation on the water before paddling back to shore, to our initial starting point.
