Pre trip information with links to buy tickets to sites we would be visiting were excellent. Our guide Seifu made the trip so much more enjoyable with his depth of knowledge and the way he seamlessly sorted tickets for someone who hadn’t received the information about pre booking. Along with our driver Zack, they gave us a fun day with their great sense of humour and friendliness. A thoroughly enjoyable day that we will always remember with fondness

Full description

Start your full-day tour of Table Mountain, Penguins and Cape of Good Hope/Cape Point with pick up at your hotel in Cape Town followed by a brief city orientation tour and a stop in the Bo Kaap for photos with its colourful houses and learn about their history. From there we head to the Table Mountain cable car station to take the cable car to the top of the mountain for unforgettable views from this 7 Wonder of Nature.

Drive along the Atlantic coast, stopping at Maiden's Cove for photos with the backdrop of the 12 Apostles mountain range. Enjoy the spectacular views from Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most scenic routes and enjoy a photo stop at the viewpoint.

Visit Boulder's Penguins Colony at Boulder's Beach and see approximately 2500 African Penguins, before reaching the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Once in the Cape of Good Hope, enjoy a guided tour at this very popular landmark and take a photo behind the Cape of Good Hope name board. From there we travel to Cape Point, where you can hike to the top of the lighthouse or take the Flying Dutchman funicular to the top. This is the official meeting point of the Two Ocean Currents: Cold Benguela Current and the Warm Agulhas Current.

Our tour culminates with a stop at St. James Beach for photos with the colourful beach cabanas before you return to your accommodation in Cape Town for drop off.

Know before you go

  • Please be aware that in high season, queues to Table Mountain can be long. In this instance, you will go to Cape Point first and visit Table Mountain on the way back.
  • During the peak season from 1 December to 31 January we recommend you buy the Table Mountain express ticket due to high demand.
  • This is a shared transportation tour that will include people staying at other hotels
  • Visitors to the Cape of Good Hope/Cape Point need to be vigilant about the baboons. Do not get too close to them as they are wild animals.
  • Dress comfortably and bring a jacket
  • Pickup is available for guests staying within a 8 km radius. Guests staying outside of this area can be picked up at the meeting point from 8:30 AM to 8:40 AM at the Sile Hotel, Silo Square, V&A Waterfront

A full day, you get to see/visit/experience so much and, at least for me, without feeling any fatigue!! Talent was our amazing guide, he did everything possible to share his knowledge and accomodate the group request. I was a solo traveler and the rest was a group of 7 students, he ensured I was comfortable and everyone was respectful. The van was very modern and comfortable and the driver (don’t recall his name, sorry!) very good as well. FYI - some costs are not included in this activity: tickets to be bought online before the excursion as well as some other tickets to be bought locally (credit cards accepted), so the final cost is higher than what you pay to GYG
