The day trip was amazing. I preferred the red line to the blue line. The weather was amazing and we had clear blue skies so everything was aesthetically pleasing. The beach at stop 8 was beautiful. Also shout out to the staff - my driver Ashraf and host Ruth were the best and so fun and lovely to spend time with. Ruth took all my photos for me as I’m travelling alone. I appreciate her so much. My photos come out so well.

It is great day one trip to see what you wan to do and see on town ground. Go early and then start around again. Jumping off or changing lines to blue line. This has the 3 Constatia vineyards on it and a wine hop on bus to take you all three from main stop, no extra charge. And vineyards can be for a tour, a dander, a glass or a tasting. All very reasonable and a lovely restaurant at one. stop before thiabis the botanical gardens Bus is every 15 mins, fantastic way to get around town.

Hop on your bus tour at Stop 1, Dock Road, at the V&A Waterfront. Look for the red double-decker bus with City Sightseeing written on the side. Alternatively, catch the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus from any one of its over 30 stops along its four routes. You can also go directly to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway at Tafelberg Road Gardens and show your voucher there.

Know before you go

  • Once the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway ticket or the Hop-on Hop-off bus ticket has been used, this combo ticket is not refundable
  • Please remember the ticket is valid for 14 days so should the Table Mountain Cableway be suspended due to poor weather or any other reason, you may still use it on an alternative day
  • The bus can only be used for one day, however, the cable car can be used 14 days after the first use of the bus ticket
