What to Expect
Cape Town offers a rich cultural and colonial heritage, grand splendor and an assurance of activity and excitement. A geographical and cultural extravaganza, this full-day tour includes all the must-see sights of Cape Town, from its historical beginnings of yesteryear to the dazzling modern buildings of today.
We commence with a cable car trip up the legendary Table Mountain for spectacular views of Cape Town and the surrounding peninsula. Enjoy the crisp air and clear visibility as you reach the summit. Our guide will point out the highlights of one of the world's most famous views.
After descending Table Mountain, we head into the city of Cape Town to visit the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa, the Castle of Good Hope. We also enjoy a stroll through Company Gardens, pay a visit to the S.A. Museum and stop in at the vibrant flea market of Greenmarket Square.
We also take a trip through the colorful and picturesque Malay Quarter. The architecture in this area is typical of what Cape Town was like 200 years ago. Our drive here takes us past the President's official residence and the Houses of Parliament before continuing to Signal Hill, where we will witness the firing of the noon gun.
