We had a great time driving out to Agulhas for the day. It is a long drive out from Cape Town but our guide, Reagan, was very informative and explained the scenery and some history of the area to us as we drove. We went to Agulhas and visited the lighthouse, then went to Hermanus for lunch at the most amazing restaurant. The last stop was Betty's Beach to see the penguins and then back to Cape Town. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this destination. I appreciated that Reagan was not pushy about what we saw or where we went, we were able to plan the itinerary based on our interests.

Trip to Argulas was all we hoped for. It's a really long drive, so you can probably take the wine tasting it off the activities list. Our guide took us to a store where we were able to buy local wine at a great price (we stopped for a restroom break and just ducked in the store)! Jon was very knowledgeable and kind. Pick up was prompt.

Full description

Guests will be collected at their accommodation by a qualified tour guide in a luxury private vehicle. Embark on a journey to the southernmost tip of Africa where the two oceans meet, and explore Cape Agulhas and other towns along the route. This is one of the most beautiful tours one can experience. Stop at Stony Point to view the African Penguins colony, one of the largest colonies of penguins in the Cape. Continue travelling towards the town of Hermanus where you will enjoy a wine tasting at one of the estates in the Hemel-en-Aarde wine region. If it is during whale season, you will have an option to do some whale-watching in Hermanus.  It is recommended that you enjoy lunch (not included) at one of the restaurants in Hermanus, or at the seaside. After lunch, make your way to Cape Agulhas, where you will walk the pathway that leads to the official meeting point of the two oceans (Indian and Atlantic oceans) and take some photos. From there, explore the lighthouse, which is one of the oldest in South Africa and situated at the southernmost tip of Africa. Pass through some small towns along the route back to Cape Town, where guests will be dropped off at their accommodation or a restaurant for dinner.

We had a great time driving out to Agulhas for the day. It is a long drive out from Cape Town but our guide, Reagan, was very informative and explained the scenery and some history of the area to us as we drove. Trip was amazing from stunning mountains through fields to pristine blue ocean , our guide Pedro done very good job kept us updated about every place, wasn’t rushing, and stopped at every place we wanted, definitely recommend doing this activity as you definitely wouldn’t regret it, we were chatting with Pedro literally for the whole trip so it felt like we’ve met our old friend rather than guide. Hakhuna Mathatha!
