Full description

Discover 3 wine regions of South Africa on a guided tour from Cape Town. Explore the renowned wine regions of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl with stops at 3 top estates, with 15 wine tastings included throughout the day. Start with pickup from one of the convenient pickup points in Cape Town and travel first to the Stellenbosch wine region. Upon arrival at the first wine estate, be treated to a selection of cheeses and snacks. Then embark on a tour of the cellar, followed by a wine-tasting session. From there head into Stellenbosch for a walk around the historic town before we head over the Helshoogte Mountain pass into the Franschhoek valley. Stop at the second winery of the day and enjoy a selection of wines with fantastic views of the village of Franschhoek. Enjoy a photo stop at the Drakenstein Prison, where Mandela was released from. Head to Paarl for an afternoon wine tasting featuring a selection of sweet and decadent wines. Relax under the trees and enjoy the views of the vineyards before heading back to Cape Town.

I liked the fact that Charles was excellent in everything from when we got on the bus, the jokes to learning about the wines and how to taste wine like a pro. We took a mini walk to learn about the history of Stellenbosch and it was nice. Andrew was also very helpful. Grateful to the driver for his good driving and making sure we get home safe. The driver was exactly on time on our pickup spot so that’s a plus.

The guide and driver were very helpful, friendly and provided guidance (especially for crossing the streets in a large group for the short walk). The wineries provided different wines (and non-alcoholic drinks for the non-drinkers) as well as snacks. There was a good selection for lunch (not included). The tour was not rushed.
