Franschhoek & Stellenbosch: Full-Day Wine Tour

Well organised visited 4 very different vineyards with their own unique style. Lord V the guide was very knowledgeable and made our day very enjoyable. Great wine interesting chocolates local biltong and tasty cheeses to complement the 20 wines that we sampled. Delicious lunch included. Small group and good value for money.

You will be visiting 3 wineries and a nice luch, the first winery Villiera is the best! You can buy the wine at the wineries with a discount which makes it more interesting to bring a large bag. You will end the tour with a nice chocolat tasting. You even get 10 min off in Franschenhoek. Ofcourse you the pickup takes some time because everyone stays in diferent parts of Capetown. I did miss the water in the bus.

We have never before been on a guided tour where the guide told us nothing about what we were seeing - wine, wine area, how it came to be, etc. he also didn’t even introduce himself. We have no idea what his name is. Also, the office staff did not appear to have a good understanding of organization. We received emails with two different pickup times, then, once we had left to go to the meeting place, they sent a new email with a new pickup time, which ended up being incorrect. The office staff made an assumption that we were on WhatsAp rather than just our phone number. Lunch time was WAY tooooo long! We took this more expensive tour because it was supposed to be a smaller group, maximum number of 14 guests. There were 18 guests, not what was promised.
