Full description

Get the chance to see lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, and more on a 2-day safari tour from Cape Town. Enjoy 2 game drives and an overnight stay with included dinner and breakfast.

On the first day, depart Cape Town and drive along the scenic coastal road to Cape Agulhas via Hermanus, the whale watching capital of the world. Make a stop at the southernmost tip of Africa to admire the beautiful lighthouse.

Continue on to Garden Route Game Lodge. Here, embark on a sunset safari in an open-air vehicle. Observe a variety of native animals, including elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and more.

After the safari, settle in for a three-course dinner. Spend the night in one of the beautiful 4-star wooden chalets and admire the clear skies over the lodge.

In the morning, head out for another game drive to see some of the animals you might have missed the evening before. After your drive, tuck into breakfast. Make your way back to Cape Town in the evening.

The tour was the highlight of our trip. Chris was the best guide and showed and explained everything to us. We felt very comfortable with him. Also in the Garden Route Game Lodge everyone was totally nice and the drive to the animals was unique. Reinhard our ranger always had an answer to our questions and you could really feel the love for these animals.

This was a perfectly organized trip from the moment of pickup to bringing us back to our hotel. Like with all such organized excursions, timing is tight but we did it all: driving (and it’s a long drive), stops with beautiful views and food breaks, infinity pool at the resort, the big four sightings, delicious dinner and breakfast. The trip would not have been so memorable without Chris, one of the very best guides I have ever had the chance to have. His ways with us, his knowledge and happiness to go over and beyond for the enjoyment of his clients are simply remarkable. Thank you Chris for making this trip an unforgettable one.

This is ideal for people with limited time, it is a small reserve, compared to tsavo in Kenya and other more famous reserves, this means two things, firstly being a small reserve means the numbers and variety of animals is limited by the space available, but on the other hand the chances of seeing the animals there are much greater as a result. I would say this is ideal for families and people who want to guarantee seeing most of the big names. If you want the big outdoors searching for hours and no guarantee of seeing anything this may not be the safari experience for you.
