We had a great day with our guide who was knowledgeable and friendly. The scenery and views from Chapmans Peak and the drive to Cape Point was fantastic and the boat trip to the fur seals was a nice extra. We also had an outstanding seafood lunch at the Seaforth restaurant at Boulders Bay, though this was much later than usual due to all the things we packed into the day. The only disappointment we that we ran so late we didn’t have time to take the penguins tour at Boulders Bay and had to settle for the public boardwalk which was still ok with close proximity to penguins but we had really set our hearts on the beach front walk here because of our children. Managing the time better would have avoided this disappointment but overall still a recommended tour with much to enjoy.
The sights you will see on this tour are absolutely stunning! With two hours to walk around the cape you can really take in the beautiful scenery as well as enjoy lunch at the restaurant or a quick snack. Later on you can walk along the coast to Cape of Good Hope or take it easy and ride on the bus. Stop at Boulders Beach also allowed enough time to appreciate cuteness of the penguins from all sides. Our guide was very knowledgable and shared many stories about Cape Town, history, and places we were seeing.
It was a straightforward process to book our places for this tour before we left the UK. I then emailed with a query regarding the pick up point. I was very impressed with the swift response and the reassurance the email provided. The tour was well organised and punctual. Seeing the penguins was a highlight and we particularly enjoyed the guided walk at Cape Point, enjoying stunning scenery. A brilliant day. Thank you!
The guides don't stop talking and giving very interesting & curious info about South Africa during the whole trip. Cape Point has really stunning views and the experience with the baboons is unique, as with the penguins as well. I recommend it with no doubt.
Mucky has done such a great job of providing interesting information (not just about the route but about SA in general), pointing out things on the way - never in a boring lecturing style but rather in a rather entertaining and easy to follow way.
