Day 1: Today, an early start is required to catch your 6.45am SeaLink bus transfer from Adelaide CBD to the ferry terminal at Cape Jervis. Board the ferry for a 45-minute cruise to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Your Untamed Escapes Guide will meet you here. Take a scenic drive to Pennington Bay and climb the 500 steps to the top of Prospect Hill. Pop into a honey farm to learn all about these fascinating creatures and, of course, do a tasting and visit family-owned Dudley Wines. Come late afternoon, arrive at our eco-campsite, featuring private access to one of Kangaroo Island’s most stunning beaches – Antechamber Bay. Roll out your swag underneath the billions of stars of the Milky Way and feel an incredible connection with nature. Today we drive approximately 240 km. Day 2: After breakfast, it's time for an incredible wildlife encounter. Seal Bay is home to the third-largest colony of endangered Australian sea lions, with around 800 calling the bay home. Join a 45-minute tour with the National Parks & Wildlife guides. Follow a boardwalk through the dunes down to the beach, and on the way, pass sea lions snoozing or even lying in the middle of the beach path. Next, we'll set our coordinates for the iconic Flinders Chase National Park, located at the northwestern point of the island. This park is renowned for its rock formations, rugged coastline, and abundant wildlife. At Admirals Arch, wander along a boardwalk as you soak up the serenity and keep your eyes peeled for the resident New Zealand fur seals. After a full day, head back towards camp for some free time to reflect and relax before dinner. Today, we drive approximately 350 km. Day 3: Begin the final day of your tour with a refreshing morning bush walk near camp before packing up and bidding farewell to Happiness. Next, take in the history of South Australia's first lighthouse at Cape Willoughby before travelling to magical Emu Bay for a stroll and a beach clean-up. Today, you have the choice to swim with wild dolphins or seals on a two-hour tour with Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari. This optional experience is a rare opportunity to connect with nature in its purest form, guided by passionate marine experts who ensure a safe, respectful, and awe-inspiring encounter. Whether you're an experienced snorkeller or a first-timer, this is a must-do for wildlife lovers looking to add a splash of adventure to their journey. Those not snorkelling will set off on the Ironstone Hill hike, weaving through regenerating sheoak woodlands and taking in epic coastal views steeped in history. After an incredible Kangaroo Island adventure, we'll arrive in Penneshaw for your 5:30 pm ferry back to the mainland. Once in Cape Jervis, your SeaLink bus connection will have you back in Adelaide by 9:00 pm.

Finish off with some free time in the souvenir shop to buy eucalyptus oil products. Continue to the Clifford’s Honey Farm shop, home of the famous island homemade honey ice-cream. See a working beehive, taste different varieties of pure Kangaroo Island Ligurian honey, and sample and buy honey beauty products to take home as a memento. Lastly, take part in a structured wine tasting with peaceful views of the surrounding vineyard at the False Cape Wines cellar, which was built from recycled wood, jetty timbers, and limestone sourced on the property.  End the tour at the Penneshaw Hotel where you have ample time to have dinner (at your own expense) before returning to the Penneshaw Ferry Terminal for your ferry and coach transfer back to Adelaide.

The picturesque setting and frequent visits by dolphin pods create a magical experience. Our accommodation is comfortable Bell tents in a beautiful setting with shared (Max 4) Bell tents with generously sized beds. OR upgrade to private sleeping bell tents or a campsite motel room. For the adventurous, climb into a swag and sleep under the stars. Day 2: Start the day with a hot drink and a biscuit before packing up camp and heading to our Breakfast stop at the Rocks Cafe Flinders Chase. Enjoy a barissta made coffee/tea and enjoy a wonderful breakfast of yogurts, fruit salad and muesli. The perfect start for a day of iconic Kanagroo Island sight seeing.
