Cañon City: Bighorn Rafting With Lunch, Wetsuit and Photos
At your scheduled time, check in at our office, located at an easy location in Canon City, CO. If you are on an afternoon trip, lunch is served before your tour, between 11am and 12:30 pm. Our friendly office staff will guide you through the process of where to go, and how to get ready for you experience. After gearing up, a life jacket will be professionally fitted to make sure it fits before heading to the river. One of your raft guides will call you onto the bus that will transport you to and from the river. The raft guides will unload the boats onto the shore, and give you a safety talk and paddle instruction before you get on the water. Once you’re in the boat and heading down the Arkansas River, you will enjoy watching for bighorn sheep as you prepare to navigate the splashy rapids like Five Points, Spike Buck, and Cowgirl Up. This family friendly trip will provide adventures for the everyone. After traveling about 9 miles down the river, you’ll load up on the bus and head back to Raft Masters. After arriving back to our office, you'll have the opportunity to purchase shirts, souvenirs, snacks, and view the action-packed photos taken of you and your group on the biggest rapid of your trip. If you are on a morning tour, our BBQ lunch will be ready for you at the Eddy Out Cafe to enjoy after a fun morning of rafting! LUNCH - All guests are invited to our complementary BBQ lunch of burgers and hot dogs, served between 11 AM- 12:30 PM. PHOTOS - A third-party company takes photos of our rafting tours and you will receive a link at the conclusion of your trip to download them online. FREE GEAR RENTAL - Raft Masters provides wetsuits, river shoes, and splash jackets to all guests, free of charge. What to Bring Please bring sunglasses, a sunglasses retainer (i.e. Chums), sunscreen, lip balm, towel, and a dry change of clothes for after your trip. These are all available for purchase in our gift shop. How Many Guests Per Boat We typically fit 6-8 guests per boat depending on water levels and trip selection.
