Amazing experience. We were a group of 3 families - kids ages 5 - 11, everyone LOVED it! Definitely book the dinner, well worth it. The theater is perfectly sized for the show so not a bad seat in the house. One suggestion - clarify when you pick up your tickets how to redeem the photo inclusion. It wasn’t clear and the photographers didn’t seem to know. All in all, Joya was a major highlight of our vacation.

We booked the transfer to Vidanta via our hotel concierge and we had the most wonderful journey with Carlos as he explained his life growing up and living in Cancun. The dinner and show time was an hour later than we anticipated so I’d recommend that you triple check the times but nevertheless the quality of the dinner, champagne, wine and meal was bar none! Highly recommend an evening out to witness the splendor of the evening with the opening jazz acts and the stellar performances of the acrobats and melodic musical performances throughout. The story is a beautiful one too; generational knowledge is so important to be maintained especially in this fast paced world in which we live.

Drawing on Mexico's history and heritage, JOYÀ follows the adventures of a rebellious teenage girl whisked away to a mysterious jungle in her grandfather's fantastical world. Surrounded by a strange band of half-human, half-animal assistants, the extravagant naturalist is on a relentless quest for the meaning of life. Inspired by the fabulous migratory journey of the monarch butterfly in which life is passed from one generation to the next to ensure the survival of the species, JOYÀ reveals a world inhabited by entrancing characters that work hand in hand to perpetuate their love of life. Guest may access the theater 30 minutes prior to the entry time for the experience, though we recommend arriving at the theatre 30 minutes prior. There is no service during the show.

The show was absolutely amazing and breathtaking in many spectacular acrobatical scenes and the visual aesthetics of the underwater scene I especially enjoyed the show was happening in different corners of the stage. We ordered only tickets for the show and had two appetizers at the bar before the show which were very delicious: the guacamole and ceviche are highly recommendable! The staff was very welcoming and informative but we didn't have a specific at the site itself. We had a designated waiter to correct the description of the assessment of this event. We took a taxi from Playa del Carmen for about 200 mexican pesos to the Vidanta hotel which hosts the Cirque du Soleil which is about 20 minute drive. Overall a superb experience!
