We had an incredible tour with Alvaro, who was a very knowledgeable and helpful guide. Our first stop was Tulum, where Alvaro explained its fascinating history and culture. The views were beautiful and the ruins were impressive. Alvaro recommended a taco stand (which was delicious) for a quick bite before we drove to the Sak Aktun caves cenote. The caves were breathtaking and so fun. It was quite an adventure, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We spent about an hour or so swimming through different rooms in the caverns. The cenote guide was also very helpful and obviously passionate about this special place. My favorite part was using a snorkel to look underwater as the guide shined a light along the floor of the cave, and we could see the depth and complexity of the caverns underwater. The setting of the cenote itself was also very beautiful with orchids in the trees all around the entrance. I loved it, and I highly recommend this tour!
