Full description
Taking a cooking class is no doubt one of the best things to do in Cancún. After getting picked up from your hotel, head straight to one of busiest markets in Cancún with your chef. Delight your senses as you stroll through different food sections and immerse yourself in the scents of different herbs, vegetables, meat and seafood. Your chef will show you how to choose the freshest items for your cooking class. Once you arrive at the venue, refreshments, fresh fruit and water or coffee will be provided. The venue provides an intimate setting at one of the best Mexican restaurants in Cancún which opened more than 40 years ago. Spend the next 3 hours learning the tricks behind great Mexican traditional cooking and the origins of each dish. Experience a real Mexican kitchen using traditional tools like molcajete (stone mortar), comal (flat griddle) and clay pots.

Nissam was our chef and he was amazing! My husband and I were the only 2 in this group. Getting ingredients at the local market is so different than in a commercialized setting; so fresh and colorful. For the class, we made guacamole, chicken enchiladas, quesadilla, and sopas. We pressed our own tortillas with actual masa, made the red cause from scratch and the guacamole was made from all fresh ingredients! Both the guacamole and enchilada sauce were customized to our spice preference. The food was amazing (and the included margarita was perfection) and we left full and content!!!! Highly recommended.

If you want to truly see Cancun, this is the way to do it. Our guide, Nassim, was extremely knowledgeable and eager to share what Cancun has to offer. We were able to have authentic Mexican cuisine and learn to make it at home as well. Nassim made the class fun and inclusive of everyone in attendance. We all highly recommend!
