Was a fantastic day Picked up on time everybody was friendly Upset that we had to pay on one of the stops for the toilets Apart from that a very informative tour with great driver and guide stopped for camel ride 6 euros was an experience was told camels only worked till 1 o’clock then had following day of they looked well fed Stop for lunch in small village food was good buffet at 8 euros Then on to wine tasting all in all was a great day out
I had a great tour at the Monje winery. The tour was led by the sixth generation winemakers and he explained everything very well. With here and there a joke and many details. The wines were very nice to drink. I had one white wine and three red. The explanation with each wine was sometimes a bit hard. The English language of the speaker wasn't that well spoken. The cheeses were okay to eat. After that I spent some dimes in the wineshop.
If you get opportunity to go then take the time to revel in the mountainous climb by coach to view the volcanic aftermath of the eruptions. Once in a lifetime experience of how the island has changed - the scenery is fantastic and the coach ride is exhilirating as you climb up and up on the twisty single track paths. Remember to take your photos on the way though as you do not get out of the coach on this part of the expedition
The tour was excellent, great tour guide & driver, informative, lots of variety. one thing I would check is that they tell you to wait at a specific bus stop, that wasn't in our instructions, it would also help if they described the bus in some way as there are so many, it would just ease the stress.
Fantastic tour with an action packed schedule full of beautiful diverse landscapes, history, and culture. Only disadvantage is the Tour is with other people and can feel like a big group. Covid measure are taken but you do get in a Jeep with 8 random strangers
